Your digital tachograph with ax-track

Say goodbye to needing to manually read your driver card and tachograph! We provide integrated solutions. The data from your tachograph is read automatically, the HVC (LSVA) III registration is transmitted directly to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) and your live location transmitted in real-time – and the best part is that it’s all done with just one device! Save time and money with our IoT platform! We will advise you and install everything on site.

The functions and benefits

Discover everything about ax-track in combination with a digital tachograph. Our solution provides your digital tachograph with an innovative option for compliance with ARV regulations. Find out how our system records and visualises relevant data in addition to real-time vehicle data monitoring and ARV. This allows you to ensure that rest periods are adhered to and optimise how your drivers are deployed.

  • No more card reading
  • Legal compliance in accordance with the Working and Rest Times Regulation (ARV)
  • Efficient fleet management thanks to our holistic platform
  • Real-time monitoring with live data

The functions and benefits of HVC (LSVA) III with ax-track

We will also apply for approval once the approval procedure for authorised providers (APs) for HVC (LSVA) III has started.

The relevant data for HVC (LSVA) III invoicing is collected by our standard GPS trackers and automatically transmitted to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) on a regular basis. The coupled trailer is automatically recognised and its trailer load is also transmitted, without any need for interaction from the driver. A novelty in this sector!

  • Automatic data transmissions
  • Information is recorded error-free
  • No more major administrative work
  • Automatic detection of trailer/trailer load

How integrating digital tachographs will make your life easier:

Live transmission of Working and Rest Times Regulation (ARV) values

Our solution transfers all current values to our platform; and we can also transfer them directly to the scheduling software you use via API on request. The scheduling department receives all relevant data, such as the remaining driving time and the duration of the rest period, clearly displayed and can therefore react ad-hoc to incoming requests without violating working time regulations.

Automated transmission of Working and Rest Times Regulation (ARV) data
The files are automatically read from your digital tachograph on a regular basis and made available for remote download in ax-track. This saves you the time-consuming task of read driver cards and lorries on site.

Q&A HVC (LSVA) III

Is HVC (LSVA) III billing via ax-track free of charge?
Yes, billing is included in the monthly device costs.
What are the benefits of having HVC (LSVA) III billing running via ax-track?

The official device only transmits position data and manually selected trailers to the BAZG. It is not possible to use this data on other platforms.

With our solution, the collected data is also integrated into ax-track and the driver does not have to select the trailer manually. This minimises the error rate and prevents unnecessary fines.

Is converting the fleet to HVC (LSVA) III costly?
The conversion is necessary because modifications need to be made to the lorry for HVC (LSVA) III anyway. If we are already using trackers, there is no need to retrofit them for HVC (LSVA) III.
What will change with HVC (LSVA) III or HVC (LSVA) 3?
The existing system for levying the performance-related heavy vehicle charge (HVC II) will be replaced by the new system (HVC III) by the end of 2025. New HGVs registered from 1 January 2025 must already be operated with HVC 3. The current Emotach system will remain active for existing HGVs until 31 December 2025, after which every HGV must be operated with HVC 3.
